After a deadly earthquake destroys his home in Peruvian rainforest, a young bear makes his way to England in search of a new home. The bear, dubbed "Paddington" for the London train station, finds shelter with the family of Henry and Mary Brown. Although Paddington's amazement at urban living soon endears him to the Browns, someone else has her eye on him: Taxidermist Millicent Clyde has designs on the rare bear and his hide.

Such a charming and wholesome adaptation of the beloved children's book character. Paddington is a very sweet character with a great voice actor who gives him a sincere and gentle personality. I love the movie's distinctly British dry sense of humor. I also love the sweet friendship between Paddington and the mother Mrs. Brown. Nicole Kidman is pretty funny as a psycho taxidermist. The soundtrack is very lively and charming. The direction is solid and captivating and I love the colorful set design. Particularly the beautiful dollhouse miniature house explaining the Brown family dynamics. I loved the nonchalant and unsurprised response of the grumpy father reacting to a talking bear at the train station. The father is very funny and cynical. The movie is very funny and clever. There’s a nice twist involving the Explorer and the taxidermist. It's an incredibly likable and charming family movie that avoids the pitfalls of most love action adaptations of beloved children's characters.

A simple but very sweet movie that people of any age can enjoy. Despite it's simplicity, it still has amazing comedic moments and heartwarming moments as well. Which all comes together in making this movie a joy to watch. 9/10

On paper, this film could easily have been just another "Peter Rabbit" or "Alvin and the Chipmunks" type of film. The bottom of the barrel children entertainment that is only suited for babysitting little babies that don't know better. But rest assured, the difference is all in execution, this is not just a good family film, it is a great one. It is effortlessly charming and sure to cheer anyone up who is in a bad mood.

Best British movie of all time. The villain is amazing, the story is a great way to modernise the books by Michael Bond, the cast is incredible and the villain is wonderful! I wish we could have a Paddington film that could try and be like the original compared to the agony the franchise is in right now.
