Blake- N @RT32589154 2d I thought Pride and Glory was pretty mediocre. The cast, including Edward Norton and Noah Emmerich, is solid, but the story feels cluttered and overstuffed with clichés. The movie tries to balance intense family drama with gritty police action, but it doesn’t fully succeed at either. The plot twists are predictable, and the pacing drags in places, making it hard to stay fully engaged. Overall, I’d give it a 4/10—it’s watchable in parts, but it never rises above being just okay, lacking the depth or excitement it aims for. It's a story about a family of NYPD officers and a corruption investigation that threatens to tear the family apart. The officers portrayed in the movie repeatedly lie during investigations, commit crimes, and even murder suspects. To be fair the acting was pretty good, especially Norton and Farrell, but the plot was just too ridiculous to take seriously. I get that they were going for a gritty police drama but all of this has been done before in better movies with better writing. For me this was an average at best cop movie with unlikeable characters and a bad ending. I'd skip this and watch Serpico or The Departed instead. See more Read all reviews
