Set in the golden age of aviation, a young airplane enthusiast, Jeff (played by newcomer Clark Shotwell), and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) set off on a one-way cross-country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime. Is it the best work he’s ever done? No. But it’s also far from the worst, which has come most consistently in the past 10 years or so, when he’s found himself in the direct-to-video doldrums. Nor is it in any way offensive.

A peculiar but very sweet movie from the perspective of a young boy. Full of nostalgia and interesting cameos. A lovely film made with so much love. Anyone who has loved flying will enjoy this movie.

Wow- this movie is extraordinarily bad. I actually can’t think of anyway to improve it. Thankfully it was only one hour. I hope writers from Saturday Night Live do some spoofs of this, I can envision many directions they could take. Perhaps if Benny Hill had been on the flight, this movie could go somewhere. Maybe the crazy character could have hijacked the plane. Snakes on the plane is a far better movie about aviation, at least there was a plot. Goes to show how money and fame can get any movie made, certainly not writing, directing, or acting. I can’t wait for the sequel when Jeff retires and flies his grandson back to NY maybe on a last Spirit Airline flight.

For those who know what aviation (not Travolta) is all about. It's a must-see if you love little details (or ""boring"" - two quotes if you think details are a "boring" matter here) and the (exciting) nuances of flying. Being able to sleep better on a 'propeller' than on a 'jet' is your tip to an adorable movie. Five stars for the music too.
