Oaklee D @ODie63 Sep 8, 2026 One of the absolute weakest horror films I've seen in 2026, not one character in the whole cast is tolerable and the story is lacking majorly. This film also stole from better films and hoped we wouldn't notice. This film also has a problem with knowing what it wants to be, one minute it's a slasher the next it's a paranormal flick which leads to it being a mix matched hodge podge of ideas that are never really filled out. This movie was shot over two years and there wasn't much time to get everything that was in the script shot. But director and co-writer Robert Mann (whose co-writer was Sheldon Silverstein, not The Giving Tree author but the producer of The Erotic Adventures of Robinson Crusoe) did everything from voiceover work to making the props and parts of the Halloween costumes to get it done. I was really just praying that every single one of these tools would get butchered so the movie would be over and I could change the channel. Some of the worst acting I have ever seen. No joke. The plot and writing are worse. What takes it from awful to horrific is that its not even entertaining. Crappy horror movies often sacrifice realism and plot for mind-numbing gore and action, which will at least keep you entertained. This movie is boring as hell until the last 15 minutes. The only couple decent things I can say is 1) Minka Kelly is hot as hell. She can't act, but I don't mind looking at her. 2) One scene towards the end that involves a decapitated man peeing in his own face 3) Its gratifying to suffer through the movie, and finally see all the annoying characters get slaughtered.
