After surviving an assault from a squad of hit men, retired CIA agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) reassembles his old team for an all-out war. Baring just a slight resemblance to the far more serious and violent graphic novel on which it’s based, “RED” never veers far outside traditional action/comedy boundaries yet delivers welcomed surprises at every turn.

"RED" is a decent movie to watch for entertainment value. The story stays moving for the most part, and the great cast keeps it interesting. I liked the action scenes, but at a point, the story didn't really have me fully on board, which was a shame because initially I found it pretty gripping. I also feel like a prequel movie would make the character relationships deeper here because it just threw me into the scenario as a viewer. Overall, it is a decent action movie to turn your brain off to, and is elevated by the dynamic chemistry of its cast.
