Businessman Oskar Schindler arrives in Kraków in 1939, ready to make his fortune from World War II, which has just started. After joining the Nazi party primarily for political expediency, he staffs his factory with Jewish workers for similarly pragmatic reasons. When the SS begins exterminating Jews in the Kraków ghetto, Schindler arranges to have his workers protected to keep his factory in operation, but soon realizes that in so doing, he is also saving innocent lives.

Spielberg employs all the emotive Hollywood tools at his disposal and the result is a remarkable film with wide appeal and real importance. Neeson is phenomenal, but matched by towering performances from Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes.

Once in a very great while, a movie insinuates itself so deeply into your consciousness that it offers not vicarious experience but instead, direct experience. Steven Spielberg's heartfelt, monumental Schindler's List is such a movie.

What a movie. This movie had me heartbroken all 195 minutes through. Especially, as an orthodox religious jew, this movie really shook me. Personally, I'm only 13 years old, so when watching this movie, I had to have quite a number of scenes skipped out for me, so even not seeing the worst shook me to the core. Liam Neeson is a phenomenal actor and played this role phenomanally too. Also, John William's score is incredible and many aspects of this movie were really clever and well thought about such as the girl in the red dress and the fact that all scenes were black and white except for the first and last. Thumbs up Steven Spielberg. What a movie.

cried many times, I heard about this movie from watching Seinfeld lmfao. the black and white makes this movie beautiful you wouldn't think that the bad guys would let a movie director to actually film what happened , this was stunning the picture was great I held my mothers hand when the Schindler's list showed the names. I took a trip once about seven years ago too Germany to pay my respects and gotten the chance to see Germany and travel to different countries, me and dog walked all around and was sad. flew back to America and thought how life was so different, I would like to watch this movie in theater but idk. Mr. Spielberg is good. I def think this is a must watch for everyone loved this live with its structure of sequence of upscaling scenes. this is a must watch !
