Par H @Parhwy Jul 20 Scottish Mussel (2016) is a 96-minute-long Scottish comedy I saw on Prime in July 2026. There is a song in this "comedy" with the title or lyric which aptly describes this film: "dumb, dumb, dumb." Let me count the ways. More than once you can see boom mike fur at the top of the screen. Talulah Riley is under-acting and under-directed yet she gets her kit off thrice so that’s a pass then? Underwater scenes look like they were filmed at the local goldfish shop. I give up counting. They say the largest muscle in the body is the brain and that Scotland is at the head of Britain. There's no brain in this film. There's heart, sure, the message is a good one: dodgy as guy gets the gal. No. That can’t be right… Something something environment. My mantra is: Just because the message is good does not mean the film is too. Rewatch? No. Recommend? No. 3/10. See more Read all reviews
