Locked away, a young woman named Babydoll retreats to a fantasy world where she is free to go wherever her mind takes her. Determined to fight for real freedom, she finds four women -- Rocket, Blondie, Amber and Sweet Pea -- to join together to escape the terrible fate that awaits them. With a virtual arsenal at their disposal, the allies battle everything from samurais to serpents, while trying to decide what price they will pay for survival.

This was god awful. There was a lack of depth in the female characters so it's just eye candy with some dope action scenes. But without any substance, the gimmicks get old very fast.

Zack Snyder’s ability to showcase some of the most unique visual storytelling ever created is somehow overshadowed by vague, murky narratives. The story, while quite original, feels like a puzzle that is missing a few pieces. However, regardless of its shortcomings, the ride was worth the admission.

The first half is beyond unique, one of the best conepts I've ever seen. Unfortunately, for me it kinda fizzles in the second half. It gets a bit repetetive, and I didn't like the ending. I'm not a fan of the "One flew over the cuckoo's nest"-esque endings. Still, one of the most original ideas ever put to screen.

All men are portrayed as evil and/or violent psychopaths, and all women as sex dolls. This seems to be the worldview of this idiotic director Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder the writers behind it. The production company may be called Cruel & Unusual, but it should be renamed Cruel & Useless. Do not waste your valuable time watching this crap. It is a mystery how so many talented actors agreed to take part in such cruel, useless trash — and equally baffling why so many composers allowed their excellent music to be used in this rubbish.
