Even at a low rental price, it’s hard not to feel frustrated by how chaotic and unfocused the experience is. The story jumps back and forth, never settling into a clear direction, and becomes exhausting rather than engaging. The screenplay is the film’s biggest weakness. It feels overwritten while offering very little substance. The central concept involving a creepy figure shifting between life and death never fully develops, and the repetition drains tension. There’s little character growth, no emotional stakes, and no real sense of consequence. The acting itself isn’t bad. There are capable performers who could have delivered something interesting with stronger material. Unfortunately, the messy structure undermines their efforts and wastes potential. Ultimately, The Dead Things is a disaster of ideas with no payoff. It’s confusing, dull, and unsatisfying. This is not a film worth recommending at all now yep! The story boring and predictable, the timeline in which the movie happens,is so very confusing most of the times. Some sub plots gets open and never concluded. TERRIBLE. It’s relationship horror which, when it deals with the supernatural, has two speeds - slow and dead. This, admittedly, is dead. There’s no conflict and only a sense of rising action, both of which mean there’s no resolution. The camera play and acting are okay use of colors, shapes, letters, and numbers but it's still not quite on the level of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. See more Read all reviews
