Unfortunately this alone does not make a good western, basically thanks to a suspected cast portraying more or less pathetic characters, in what turns out to be a long and not very interesting or thrilling move against another director signature ending. It's Reservoir Dogs with a cowboy hat. Perhaps everything feels predictable... until it doesn't. And even if it does, you won't care, because the conversations are so brilliantly written and delivered by an outstanding cast, that looking away isn't an option. Brutal dialogue, brutal violence, endless tension, and enough theatrical flair to make every scene feel like a stage play with loaded guns. People says it's Tarantino's longest movie. Really? See more Isabella H @MrsHamilton Jun 2 My second Tarantino movie and after the disaster that was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I was finally impressed. This seems like a controversial opinion, but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I found it to have good pacing, entertaining from beginning to end, and incredibly strong performances from all involved. I loved the who dunnit murder mystery. I found that the constant use of the n word, which was used 57 times was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable. I get that at the time that's how black people were treated, but I feel like it went past the acceptable amount of times. There was also a lot of horrible language used towards Daisy, which also wasn't uncommon at the time, but still off putting. Apparently this is Tarantino's signature. Feet shots, sexism, and usage of the n word. Samuel L Jackson didn't have a problem with it, so I'm able to put that aside. If those things don't bother you, then I definitely recommend this to fans of westerns/murder mysteries. 5 stars. It was directed very well as expected and the acting was good almost all around. I found it an interesting way to tell a story.
