The Loved One is one of the most emotionally mature Filipino romance films in recent years. It’s less about heartbreak and more about the quiet tragedy of loving someone deeply while slowly realizing you are growing in different directions. Anne curtis gave a strong and complex performance while Jericho Rosales gave vulnerability.

I was looking for a romantic movie and I was not disappointed. You get to see how our protagonists got together and how it falls apart over time. I thought it was very honest and moving overall.
