The Monkey King does feel a little too slow at times. Many of the action-packed sequences start to feel too repetitive after seeing the first couple, as they do little to move the plot forward, despite being very well-executed nonetheless.

Boring movie the protagonist doesn't learn any lesson oh yeah. There isn't any lesson or thing that this movie makes you learn and I wouldn't have a problem with it because you could replace it with action lore or comedy but no it's simply a boring movie. And honestly the best part was when the movie ended. Not recommended

We watched it as a family and we had to ban it from the house for a year! We will probably never watch it again, the art is pretty cool though but the storyline goes nowhere.

Honestly. this movie needs more credit then its due, cause I was watching this and was loving the artwork, the art style everything about it. The story behind it was a guy that only wanted to feel bigger than he actually was, along with his funny wittiness. Truly was amazing to watch. That's my own loving opinion!
