Ted G 08/22/2021 A totally different but good twist to an already famous movie collection. See more Tj B @RT77549479 Jul 23 This movie is overall not good. It has setups for larger plans into a greater movie franchise that never kicked off. There were some fun concepts but the comedy in this one just didn’t hit when they tried. This is still better than that awful Jet li mummy movie but that doesn’t make this good. I’d say it’s at least worth a watch. It took me several tries as the first time I fell asleep, the second time I tried to start it but started not to care and turned it off. When I finally sat to give it a real go, I was pleasantly surprised by it not being as bad as MOST say, but the bad reviews were not without merit. I think had we gotten a larger connected universe this movie could be slightly forgiven and a sequel to it could’ve done it a bit better. Alas, we never got that so now it stands alone waiting to be sealed away in a sarcophagus and waiting to be unearthed by the next curious viewer till it goes to die again. Little confuse by Russell Crowes character but the more I watched it I didn’t care, I loved everything else so much it didn’t matter to me. Shame on Brendan Fraser for his negative comment! Just because it doesn’t have that silly Disney sometimes cheesy humor doesn’t make it a bad movie! In fact I loved that it wasn’t that for a change! Very sad to hear there were no plans for a 2nd movie and very sad to not get to see what becomes of Nicks new powers!
