TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 5 days ago The Plantation was a movie that felt very rough while I was watching it. I really wanted something unique and different, and I felt like this movie actually delivered some of that, even if it didn’t always push the story as far as it could have. It’s definitely not perfect, but I found it enjoyable enough to watch and get through. One thing I appreciated is that the movie doesn’t leave you completely hanging. It does answer the questions it creates, which helped the story feel more complete. At the same time, I can understand why some viewers may have a difficult time with it because the subject matter is extremely heavy and deals directly with racism. I think movies dealing with racism have to be careful about how that material is presented, particularly when the subject can feel one-sided or provocative. Still, putting that aside, I thought The Plantation delivered enough to keep me focused and interested. It has flaws, but I didn’t think it was a complete miss.
