Alex B @AlexBioni 5 days ago Normal People Are Capable of Horrible Things I knew nothing going in. I saw it was based on a real killer in Australia. It starts basic and slow, then something happens to the three boys and I thought, oh boy. I felt disturbed. This movie feels so real. I watch plenty of horror with blood and gore, but this is different. A scene involving two people decapitating an animal looks horrifyingly real. The acting feels like you're watching average people, which makes it scarier. Daniel Henshall brings John to life as a laid back, neighborly guy who is actually a monster manipulating everyone around him. The movie is slow, but that makes it feel real. Real life isn't exciting. It's slow and grueling. Kids riding bikes outside while someone is being tortured was chilling. It makes you wonder what happens behind closed doors. I'm glad I watched this, but I probably won't watch it again. I wish we got more information on the victims. It focuses more on how messed up these people were.
