A comic-book nerd and Elvis fanatic Clarence (Christian Slater) and a prostitute named Alabama (Patricia Arquette) fall in love. Clarence breaks the news to her pimp and ends up killing him. He grabs a suitcase of cocaine on his way out thinking it is Alabama's clothing. The two hit the road for California hoping to sell the cocaine, but the mob is soon after them.

A stacked star studded roster of actors. A great story with great action. True Romance should be acknowledged more often on how great it is.

Starts of with nauseating dialogue between the two leads, establishing them as the most annoying characters in the movie. The Dennis Hopper / Christopher Walken scene is the highlight, classic Tarantino. Then it reverts back to silly and annoying.

My favorite movie. An absolute all star cast in great, unique roles. No one outstays their welcome including the two leads. A fantastic score by the always great Hans Zimmer which matches the tempo of the movie in every minute. Tony Scott is a criminally underrated Director IMO. This was Tarrantino's first writing brought to life in film and talk about knocking it out of the park. It is no wonder he is one of the best of all time and watching this movie now makes me appreciate his style for grit, dark humor, and action wrapped around a serious plot with well written characters. Some of the most memorable moments and lines are probably the Walken/Hopper engagement which that scene alone is worth watching unedited on YouTube to witness two of the best just steal the show. This was peak Christian Slater.

A young man falls in love very quickly with a call girl and a journey begins with them getting rich quick with her former pimp drug money unknowingly they do not know they are being hunted by everyone who is connected with the drugs.
