When a massive, unmanned locomotive roars out of control, the threat is more ominous than just a derailment. The train is laden with toxic chemicals, and an accident would decimate human life and cause an environmental disaster. The only hope of bringing the train to a safe stop is in the hands of a veteran engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine), who must risk their lives to save those in the runaway's path. Unstoppable is definetly something I’ll be recommending my friends to watch. I had seen a YouTube video or two about it. some like it, some don’t. me? oh, I love it. as a train and vehicle lover in general, Unstoppable is something that uses trains as the main villain and saviour, not some boring background object., which is amazing to see. the movie starts slow, like many. but then it properly picks up and the rest of the movie, you’re on the edge of your seat. the movie based on the Crazy Eights incident that happened in Ohio in 2001, and uses that concept to make a really good action movie. acting, writing and camera movement are all amazing. if you’re a vehicle lover, train enthusiast, or an action/edge-of-your-seat type of person, grab some popcorn and watch this. a great example of taking a normal object, like a train, doing the right things, and you have one hell of a movie. highly recommend. 5/5.

This is the most unmistakably 2010 movie ever made. With its muddy color palate, frantic editing, shaky camera that could give you motion sickness, and acting choices from everyone not named Denzel that borderlines on the ridiculous. When I heard someone say "He's not gonna make it." I knew the movie I was watching. This is a race against time movie. It is apparently based on true events but the way they choose to tell the story is difficult to watch. Denzel Washington is great though. This is, to say the least, inessential. I don't know why it has such a high rating on here. Its not good.
