Pooran S @Pooran 19h Not watched Vadh so Vadh2 carried no baggage of expectations for me. A solid lead cast of veterans Neena Gupta, Sanjay Mishra & Kumud Mishra drew me in , with competent performances by all other support cast too. A slow burner murder mystery with a take on social mores like caste, corruption & morality in a prison setting, Vadh2 delivered them nicely without preaching, which is always welcome. Even with some reveals midway & a hint here & there the movie still manages to deliver a worthy climax & what feels like true justice, not just justice as per law. Sanjay Mishra shines with his layered performance of a near retirement police constable living alone, ...weak with age but not in spirit. Kumud Mishra is one of my personal favs & though his role is not big here in terms of screentime , he always delivers. Amitt K. Singh was good too as the SIO cop. All in all Vadh2 is worth a watch for it's silent, nuanced, character-driven storytelling.
