The attention paid to images does not translate to character development, story, or dialogue, leaving little emotional resonance, while making me seriously wonder if the men telling these stories understand much at all about female sexuality.

It's a promising debut for Bhm, with a lot of promise. But it's a home run for Powley, who makes "Wildling" worth watching even when it shouldn't be.

...the storytelling gets more haphazard and by the time it finally fully shifts gears into horror, the whole thing just becomes kind of silly, not to mention pretty sloppy from a technical standpoint.

B – Brad Dourif keeps his daughter confined in his attic for 16 years, but when he starts inexplicably poisoning her, and she almost dies, he attempts suicide. Liv Tyler plays a cop who then takes the girl in, and she falls in love with Tyler's brother. However, once the girl is free of her father's drugs she gradually metamorphoses into the titular wolflike creature and kills a rapist and several bad men hunting for her. Too many coincidences and a deus ex machina, but good production values, music, makeup, acting and scenery of the Pacific Northwest.

Really enjoyed this movie. Good acting, good pace, cared about the characters so it was easy to be invested in the story and what happened to them.

Why oh why has anyone given this more than one star?! The good reviews convinced me that it was worth a watch but it was dull and corny and a really weird story. Only the first 15 minutes or so were worth it.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. I could not get past the idea of a girl being emotionally and mentally abused for her entire life being dropped into normal high school life?!?! It just doesn't hold together at all.
