01/11/2015 Filmaço. Falando de França e terrorismo.... É um documentário sobre o advogado Jacques Vergès que defendeu, entre outros, grupos argelinos que lutaram pela independência e que foram processados pelo governo francês como terroristas, passando por Carlos, o Chacal, até criminosos nazistas. Vergès teve uma vida cinematográfica cheia de histórias de guerra, espionagem, assassinatos, política e tudo o mais. É um daqueles documentários espetaculares sobre um personagem complexo e que teve um papel importante em acontecimentos chaves do século 20. O que intriga no filme é tentar achar algum fio de coerência no que ele faz e pensa. See more 11/13/2012 Someone has to defend them I suppose. Here is the tale of the man who defends the undefendable. A friend of Carlos the Jackal and Nazis etc. The question to be asked why anyone would seek to assist these individuals. While the film doesn't end up definitively answering those questions, it nonetheless gives us a portrait of a unique if not defendable individual. See more 08/23/2012 This is a hell of a doc. Though Schroeder does indeed take a stand, he goes through huge pains to try to be objective as possible, and we are left to make up our own minds about a very divisive person. See more 12/17/2011 Upsetting, Frustrating, and Fascinating describes Terror's Advocate for me. I was pretty new to most of the material covered in the movie. So watching it with subtitles felt like a History Lecture without taking notes. Alot of it was frustrating to watch for me because you had full on terrorists/murderers sitting in a beautiful house being interviewed like its no big deal and what they did was okay and justified. I hope they make a movie based on the documentary cause there is tons of details to be covered that only a film could do it justice.
