Blake- N @RT32589154 2d I went into Carrie hoping for a fresh take on the classic story, but it ended up feeling pretty average. Chloë Grace Moretz does a solid job in the lead role, and Julianne Moore is genuinely intense at times, but the film doesn’t add much that feels new or necessary. The biggest issue is that it sticks too closely to the original without bringing enough originality to justify the remake. Some of the modern updates don’t fully work, and the emotional impact doesn’t hit as hard as it should. It’s not terrible, just forgettable. Overall, I’d give it a 5/10—it has decent performances, but doesn’t stand out on its own.
