Ro K @Kein_indianer 4 days ago 101 minute version. This movie was just a bonus film included with my Mediabook of The Water Margin, but it turned out to be better in almost every aspect. I was genuinely surprised that the storytelling, fight choreography and even the pacing were all much better than in The Water Margin. The main character is quite stupid and arrogant for most of the movie, which makes him rather annoying at times. Usually, this kind of characterisation would end in some cheesy way in a Hong Kong movie from the 1970s. However, not this time. The dramatic ending makes the whole story much more consistent and even puts those annoying aspects of the character into a different perspective.
