Set alongside on the riverbanks of Maanamadurai in the Sivagangai district, the premise is about a very gullible, innocent old couple in their late 60s/70s who inadvertently get intertwined in the political lobby of sand mining, which is currently a major issue in the local district. By the orders from a steadfast judge, to ensure protection and safeguard them from the vindictive political system, they nominate a weakest unassuming rookie police constable.
