Houde F @houde Jul 24, 2026 Technically, the film is well made – the atmosphere is convincing and the setting is captured nicely. Unfortunately, that's about it. The story never really pulled me in. After the first 30 minutes, it felt like practically nothing had happened, and the overall theme comes across as pretty banal. One plus: early on, it stays unclear who the actual villain is, or rather, who will end up being the victim – this element does create some tension, at least for a while. Still, the film slips into pure boredom for long stretches. The acting is also only mediocre and doesn't do enough to save the weak story. Bottom line: Despite decent visuals and an interesting premise, I can't recommend watching it. The two lead actors are excellent and masters of their craft. Expecially the unsettling soundscape of 'You'll Never Find Me' is phenomenal and easily gets under your skin. It reminded me of a very old wooden boat out there on a wild, stormy ocean. This film is proof that by reducing things to the absolute minimum (one room, two people, an intriguing story), you can sometimes create more tension than with a large and bloated spectacle. Of course there are enough mysteries, uncertainties and twists within the plot, keeping the audience guessing, as well as the protagonists actually. See more Read all reviews
