06/27/2010 Shanghai Ghetto and its historical background/context is fascinating and amazing in its own right, but the movie itself isn't quite up to the task. It's either too long, or didn't have enough footage to last 97 mins. Though these are interesting characters with stories i am quite interested in, too often we are staring at them talking, and many of the photographs are used more than once. It's of TV standard and frankly a bit disappointing because with the given material it is quite possible to make a great documentary.
