Rise of the 49ers isn’t just a football documentary — it’s a time capsule that captures what it felt like when excellence was the standard and Super Bowls felt inevitable. The storytelling is strong and nostalgic, bringing back memories of watching legends like Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Steve Young redefine the game. My one critique is that the series moves a bit quickly through the fifth Super Bowl, which deserved more space given how historic that achievement was. Still, the emotion, dominance, and culture of that era come through loud and clear. If you lived through those years as a fan, this feels personal. And even if you didn’t, it’s a compelling look at how a true dynasty was built. Loved it.
